We offer a range of training courses, helping your organisation get the skills it needs to use the tools offered by tribology successfully. We offer open training courses such our “Tribology for Industry” course, and also custom training courses, which are tailored to the needs of the client.
TRIBOLOGY FOR INDUSTRY - 1 DAY
The Tribology for Industry training course is tailored to meet the needs of researchers and product development scientists. Attendees will be provided with all the knowledge of tribology they need to conduct product research and development projects successfully.
We are aware that a lot of researchers come across tribology whilst doing their own R&D work in the fields of lubricants, personal care products or coatings. This training course has been tailored to meet the needs of these researchers who are using tribology as a tool to study and develop new products.
In this training course the attendees will get a full understanding of the critical aspects of tribology, including all the important calculations and test methods. On completion of the training course the attendees will have the knowledge they need to use tribology methods with confidence.
Who should attend?
R&D Scientists, R&D Engineers, R&D Managers, Lab Technicians, Mechanical Technicians, PhD Students, Formulators, Technologists.
Course level: No prior knowledge of Tribology is assumed, this course starts from the basics. The course quickly moves on to more application focussed Tribology. This course may not be suitable for those who are seeking an advanced knowledge of tribology.

New Course - Lubrication for Engineers
The “Lubrication for Engineers” course has been designed to increase the skills of maintenance and operational staff, through better knowledge of lubrication. This course is intended for both new and experienced site and operational engineers who are tasked with fixing breakdowns, servicing equipment and identifying failures. Following completion of the course the delegates will be able to identify the most suitable lubricants for their particular interest and understand how to recognise common failure modes. This will ensure they choose the correct lubricant for each application and not be guided by aggressive advertising and persuasive salesmen.
This course is designed for site engineers/technicians/craftsmen to allow them to understand lubrication fundamentals, lubricants composition (and additives) and future technological developments in the lubrication field. The course is also aimed at engineers specifying and ordering new equipment and machines as it will allow them to question the supplier on his lubricant choice and reasons for that choice.
This course is currently being offered to companies directly for presentation on-site. A public version of the course will be scheduled in 2020. Please get in touch if you want to learn more.
CUSTOM TRAINING COURSES
We can provide custom training courses to meet the needs of your team and organisation. By focussing directly on the material that your team needs to complete successful projects, we can deliver short/sharp courses which are very effective. The custom training courses are given in a closed session, and can be covered by an NDA as appropriate, so specific questions and issues can be discussed openly without fear of compromising IP.
